Meet The Owner
Hi, I’m Zack! I am the owner and lead trainer for Next-Door K9 Solutions of the Carolinas. I have been training dogs for approximately 10 years and have been involved in many different capacities of dog training. I started my journey as a handler in the United States Marine Corps, where I handled and trained various types of dogs in obedience, explosive, narcotic, and human detection, as well as in other capacities pertinent to the job. Upon completion of my contract I began my training career outside the military. I’ve had the pleasure of learning under some of the best trainers in the industry and continue to learn from many others. Since beginning my dog training career, I have been involved in the training of pet, Law Enforcement, Sport, Military, and Special Operation canines. Next-Door K9 Solutions was founded to help build confidence in each dog and maintain a successful integration into each dog owners home. We continue to carry our principles into every dogs training regime in order to effectively reach this goal. We look forward to working with you and helping you establish the connection you need with your dog. It’s not a sprint, but a marathon! Always keep that in mind, as every day is a training opportunity!
Meet the Team!
Administrative Manager/ Photographer
Hi, I’m Stephen! I am a former Marine and a law enforcement officer since 2012. In 2018, I became a K9 handler and found a passion for dog training. I am excited to bring my skills and experience to the pet dog world to help pet’s and their owners gain confidence and improve their relationships with each other. My wife and I live outside of Seagrove, NC with our three kids on a small 10-acre farm. We currently have goats, chickens, and three dogs; a Beagle and two Catahoula Leopards. I have always had a dog in my life and I understand the importance of building and maintaining the bond between dog and owner.
Hi my name is Abby! I have always had a passion for animals since I was a little girl. I’ve grown up with every animal under the sun but my passion for dogs started when I worked in an animal shelter in Arkansas. Shortly after that I went all the way to Hutto, Texas where I spent a few months completing my Certified Dog Trainer and Behavior Specialist program. Since then I have broadened my horizons with military and police dogs, working dogs, sport dogs, multiple types of behavior modifications and your day to day pet dogs. I have three dogs of my own; Sophie, a Great Dane, Indie, an Australian Shepherd, and Bastion, a Belgian Malinois. My passion for dog training is building a healthier relationship and a better understanding between dog and owner to provide the best life possible for both!
Hi I’m Olivia! Ever since I could remember I have had a love for animals. I began working at a daycare and as a kennel tech in 2009, and have been working with dogs ever since! I managed a few kennels as well as worked at a veterinary hospital. I worked as a trainer in Raleigh for 7 years and am always looking to expand my knowledge with the dog training world and strengthen my skills, which is what lead me to Next door K9 Solutions! I love helping clients have a better relationship with their dogs. I have three personal dogs, Talulah (mutt), Morty (black lab, German Shepherd mix) and Rigatoni (Dutch Shepherd).
Hi, my name is Alex! I’ve always had a passion for dogs growing up and fell even more in love with them when I started in the dog world in 2017. I started working in kennels and quickly realized I wanted to help owners & dogs have their best lives together. I have two dogs of my own Sarge (Pit bull/Boxer) & Boone (Chocolate lab/Pit Bull) and they have both taught me so much. Since I’ve got in the training world I’ve constantly been searching to improve and learn as much as I can about dogs. I fall more in love with this job everyday and am so excited to be apart of this team at NDK9.
Hi! My name is Sam! I have lived in North Carolina for 10 years. I have always loved working with dogs and have a background in veterinary medicine. I’m currently finishing a bachelor’s in veterinary technology and science with Penn Foster College. Prior to joining Next-Door K9 Solutions I was an active veterinary technician in Fayetteville, NC for 2 years. I attended Next Door K9 Solutions School for Dog Trainers where I was instructed by Zack and it has helped me develop new skills and further my passion in the dog training field! I can’t wait to work with your dog and build a lifelong communication system!
Hi I’m Keenan! After spending 13 years working in the military special operations/private government community, I actively sought a new path to better myself from a strenuous lifestyle and a path that could still benefit my community. Having always had a passion for animals I discovered Next-Door K9 Solutions. Zack provided me with an opportunity to grow in a new path by providing guidance on how to successfully train and better dogs through an impressive training regime that stresses communication and fairness to the animals. I look forward to working with you and your dog in order to meet your every goal!
Hi, I’m Morgan! I grew up in New Hampshire with a love for the outdoors and graduated from Fitchburg State University with a degree in Industrial Technology. After relocating to North Carolina, my love for dogs lead me to studying animal training and behavior from Animal Behavior College and has pushed me to continue to learn and grow from all the opportunities around me. I have taught dogs of all ages with the aim to help families meet their individual training goals and to help them form lasting bonds with their fuzzy family members.

Hi, my name is Alyssa! I am originally from Florida where I started my dog training journey in 2017. I have worked with many dogs over the years, everything from basic obedience to behavioral modifications (I’ve always had a huge soft spot for reactive dogs) and even competed in dog sports. I currently live outside of Fayetteville North Carolina with my fiancé, our young child, and our dogs. I have three personal dogs, two German Shorthair Pointers; Pepper & Tonks and a Belgian Malinois named Doc Holliday. I competed in PSA with Doc until he was medically retired in fall of 2021 due to seizures. Pepper currently competes in NAVHDA and is being trained in upland hunting and waterfowl retrieving. While my dogs love to work, they also understand what it’s like to just be a well mannered dog that can look to me for guidance and trust the relationship I’ve built. I love being able to have the memories and the experiences I have had with my dogs due to the training I have instilled. It’s something every owner deserves to have with their dog(s) and I can’t wait to be able to help!
